Roberto R. Panepucci received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from University of São Paulo, São Carlos, Brazil in 1989 and 1990 and the Ph.D. degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, IL, in 1996.
He is a Senior Researcher and Coordinator of CTI´s Hardware and System Design Area and leads the Photonics Group. He is a member of the Brazilian Institute for Neuroscience and Neurotechnology – BRAINN. His research interests focus on developing novel integrated micro- scale photonic devices and systems, including design, fabrication and characterization, and their application in interdisciplinary challenges.
