Advances in integrating functions beyond those originally envisaged in Moore’s Law will be reviewed, focusing on new materials, photonics, and MEMs. Applications that allow the use of technologies with outdated CMOS technology nodes, enabling high systemic integration will be discussed. Viability of this integration in the Brazilian ecosystem will be presented.
